PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Design Today for Tomorrow
Design Today For Tomorrow is an innovation and design consulting firm. Founding Partner of Design Studio. I have been associated with for over 2 years offering my design services in the fields of User Experience Design, Digital Design, Graphic Design and Product Design. As part of DTFT, I have worked as a Design Expert with various companies.

Designed and developed NINO, a humanoid robot for assisting school children in educating about the principles of Robotics and smart learning.

Designed certain keys elements of AERA, the EV Motorbike as part of the design team for Matter Motors.

Crazyfox Design
Optiemus Infracom Limited acquired Riddhi Design Team in the year 2012. I lead the Design wing of the Optiemus Business offering services in designing business strategies, strategizing product road maps for the mobile phone and mobile accessory division, building brands and designing brand strategies for the companies of Optiemus Group of companies.

I played a key role in the business of ‘Mobiliti World’ a 200 + retail store network of Optiemus across northern, eastern and western India.

Riddhi Design
I joined Riddhi Design, a global design consultancy having varied experience in designing consumer electronics, telecommunication devices, interactive products, brand identities and brand strategies. I built the design team for Riddhi Design. The Design team was an amalgamation of experts from multi-disciplinary fields like Product Design, User Experience Design, Graphic Design, Mechanical Design, Animation Design and User Research. One of the major clients is Optiemus Infracom Limitied, New Delhi. Designed and developed mobiles phones and mobile phone accessories for the their business in India.

Of the many designs produced for Optiemus Infracom Limited 4 of them have been patented and Design registered in India.

Oive (Haier) Telecom
At Olive – one of the few telecom manufacturers from India, I was hired as the Design Head responsible for creating a world class design centre for design focused excellence. I have hired top brass designers, have built a well-equipped design centre, collaborated with several suppliers and applicators, visited consumers across the world and have produced designs that have been well accepted in the market. Some happy customers include Bakrie Telecom, Flexi Telecom, Smart Telecom – Indonesia, Skylink – Russia, MTS, TATA, Airtel -India, Starcomm – Philippines, Eufone, Opencall – Czech Republic.

Virgin Mobile
Virgin Mobile India was in joint venture with Tata Tele services – one of the largest telecom operators in India. I was the Senior Design Manager responsible for establishing the ‘Virgin Design Identity’ across a range of telecom brands – targeted especially or the Youth segment. I worked extensively with several OEMs while I visited their design and marketing centers. Notably, I worked with Samsung – Seoul, LG – Seoul, ZTE – Shanghai, Sony Ericsson – Gurgaon and Huawei – Shenzhen.

During my stint, I was awarded the Excellence award for being a key contributor to the business.

Kyocera Wireless Corp.
At, Kyocera Wireless Corporation, with Head quarters in Japan, I was leading a team of designers in India that designed mobile devices for USA, Latin America, India and Japanese market. Here I also had direct working relations with IDEO – one of the leading design agencies in the world. My designs went ahead to be showcased in CTIA Wireless in Las Vegas in 2007.

Whirlpool
I have worked as Product designer at Whirlpool, Global Consumer Design Asia, where I have extensively designed domestic appliances for Indian Markets. This involved extensive understanding of local users and their household habits, regional preferences and domestic patterns across multiple locations.
