Studios & Makerspaces

  • Explore, ideate, create, build, experiment and innovate with various materials, tools and techniques through the studios and workshops at Srishti Manipal.
  • Our studios and workshops are dynamic environments equipped with materials, tools and equipment necessary for a wide range of creative practices. These include printmaking, ceramics, woodworking, metal casting, photography, video editing, animation, plastic compositing, gardening, textile dyeing, sewing and weaving.
  • Studios and workshops are led by experienced facilitators and skilled technicians who help you navigate the resources you need. You can develop a hands-on practice through guided instruction or peer-led collaborations or pursue your own independent enquiry as a creative practitioner.
  • As vibrant hubs for hands-on learning, studios and workshops support studio-based pedagogies that are key to our teaching and learning. Faculty and students from all levels and disciplines share these spaces, fostering peer-supported learning through interactions between different year groups and various disciplines.
  • Concentrated on the ground floors of the Srishti Manipal campus, studios and workshops metaphorically and literally form the foundation of our school. The ground floors are designed to encourage serendipitous encounters with materials and tools, as well as impromptu interactions with expert faculty and skilled technicians.
