OVERVIEW
Sathyanand Mohan completed a B.F.A. in Painting from the Government College of Fine Arts, Trivandrum in 1998, and an M.F.A. in Printmaking from the M. S. University of Baroda in 2000. He completed his PhD at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT-B, Mumbai in 2023. He teaches in the Contemporary Art Practice program at Srishti. An artist, writer, and academician, Sathyanand Mohan’s research interests are focussed on art history and criticism, histories of photography and film, media studies, and continental philosophy.

TEACHING PORTFOLIO
I teach various aspects of Contemporary Art Practice, from painting and photography to artist books and digital media. I also teach art History and criticism, as well as academic writing.
CREATIVE PRACTICE & OUTREACH
Has been exhibiting and writing on art since 2008. Curated a few shows. At present works largely with digital media and photography. Recent exhibitions include ‘Lokame Tharavadu’ (2022) and The Chaos Trilogy: Pt 3 (2024).
