OVERVIEW
As a sound designer, educator, and performing artist with extensive experience in the Indian film and music industry, I currently teach at the Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology in Bangalore, using my practical and teaching experience. My previous academic role was at Chandigarh University, where I taught Film Studies from 2021 to 2022 as an Assistant Professor.
I have contributed with my skills in sound design and production across various high-profile projects, including working as the Production Sound Mixer for “Modern Love: Hyderabad,” directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, and providing sound design for feature films like “Manasvi” and short films such as “Mumu Shelley” by National Award-winner Batul Mukhtiar. My experience includes sound work on renowned projects like Netflix’s “Bahubali: Before the Beginning,” where I handled location sound and sound design.
My freelance work covers a broad spectrum of responsibilities and assisting with production design for more than ten films like “Killa,” “Ek Hazarachi Note,” “Lathe Joshi,” and “Rukh.” I have also worked as an assistant sound recordist with industry names such as Mr Vipin Bhati.
In addition to my film work, I have taught sound and music across different institutions, including the SEAMEDU School of Pro-Expressionism in Pune and as a music teacher at Prayag Sangeet Vidhyalay, Nainital. I have also trained aspiring artists at the Indian Idol Academy, Mumbai, from 2017 to 2020.
As a performing artist, I have served as a playback singer for regional films and albums, contributed to projects for MX Player, and aired for All India Radio as a ‘B’ graded artist.
All these opportunities have enriched my understanding of my field, music and sound designing and recording.
