Prahlad Gopakumar works within the audio-visual medium as a filmmaker, cinematographer and still photographer.

During his graduation in architecture, he was exposed to the world of design and photography which further led him to pursue film making as his post-graduation. There after he worked on several filmmaking and photographic ventures. Parallel to this he pursued his present role as an educator in film and photography.

His area of interest in digital still photography is to use it as a medium to document the intersection of technology with culture and history. As a audio-visual artist he aspires to push the experimental boundaries of cinema as well as work on simple films that portray a ‘slice of life.’
