Sandeep Ashwath is an educator, animator and scholar.
EDUCATION
Sandeep has completed a postgraduate course in animation from the National Institute of Design – Ahmedabad and an M.A. in animation from the Royal College of Art – London. He holds a PhD in social anthropology from the University of Surrey – UK. He has done an undergraduate course in Environmental Science from St. Joseph’s College – Bangalore.

Sandeep has taught animation projects, general studies classes in BFA, MA theory classes and mentored thesis projects.
CREATIVE PRACTICE & OUTREACH
Sandeep has presented papers and work at the Society of Animation studies conference (2018, 19 and 23), Chitrakatha Animation Festival (2013), Image Forum (2018). He has published in the Journal of Animation Studies (2018). He organised the international symposium for Illustration Research in 2014.
