OVERVIEW
BHARATH MURTHY, born in 1978 at Ahmedabad (Gujarat, India), studied painting at the M.S.University of Baroda and film direction at Satyajit Ray Film & TV Institute, Kolkata. He has since made documentaries, drawn comics and animation and taught at higher education institutions, including at FTII (Film and Television Institute of India) in Pune and Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Bangalore. The Vanished Path: A Graphic Travelogue (HarperCollins India, 2015) is his first book-length comic. He edits and publishes comics under the Comix India label while continuing to work on comics and animation projects.

CREATIVE PRACTICE & OUTREACH
- Made a number of documentaries, including a feature documentary for NHK, Japan about comics sub-cultures in Tokyo (The Fragile Heart of Moe, 2010).
- Written and drawn book-length comic of 200+ pages (The Vanished Path: A Graphic Travelogue, 2015).
- Done animation for a documentary and a theatre production.
