OVERVIEW

Writer, Critic, Filmmaker and Educator with more than two decades of experience. Basav’s writing has appeared in leading Indian publications such as The Caravan, The Hindu, Outlook India, Film Companion, Open Magazine, The NewsMinute and many more. Basav also contributed an essay to the anthology “Where Gods Dwell – Thirteen temples and their (his)stories. Basav’s film practice includes several independent and commissioned non-fiction films. He is also the founder of Historywallahs – a history collective focussed on the history of Deccan.
