SMI Staff Cricket team is the second runner up in MAHE -Bluru Intercollegiate staff cricket tournament.

April 26, 27 witnessed an exciting inter college staff cricket tournament  on our campus.  SMI defeated MIT in our first league match and went to the semi final. Though they lost  the semi finals to the eventual winners, SMI were placed third (2nd runenr up) when they won the play off match by by 9 wickets. Savinaya Malve (faculty) was the main stay in batting and the team captain Benjamin Peter, (head of IT) was the pick of the bowlers – most economical and got lots of wickets. Mahesh Bhat (faculty) remained unbeaten throughout the tournament and put on a 69 runs partnership for the opening wicket in the third match! Santosh and Sreenivas, both from our IT department bowled their hearts out and got many wickets.  Congratulations to the team! Team members are as follow.
