Rajalakshmi L. N., a fourth-year student’s 7th semester project Designing Dignity, has secured Second Position in the One Innovation Competition organized by the Government of India.
The competition, titled “One Innovation – Towards a Self-Reliant India”, was organised by the Ministry of Earth Sciences in collaboration with MyGov, with the objective of promoting awareness about the India International Science Festival 2025. Rajalakshmi submitted the work she developed as part of Designing Dignity project as her competition entry. Her design innovation proposal, titled “AZADI – Lockless Orthotic Leg Calipers for Individuals with Limited Mobility,” was recognized for its relevance and impact at the national level.
Rajalakshmi’s achievement is a matter of great pride for our institution and reflects the strength of student-led, socially responsive design work.
