Junaid is a designer, educator, coach, and entrepreneur with around twenty years of experience, having worked with leading global organizations including Adobe, Oracle, ABB, IBM, and Intel. His professional journey spans user experience design, product strategy, and learning experience design, with a consistent focus on making technology humane, usable, and impactful.

He holds two master’s degrees — one in Human Factors & Industrial/Organizational Psychology and another in Electrical Engineering, both from Wright State University, Ohio (USA). His training in Human Factors informs his design practice by bringing a scientific understanding of human abilities and limitations to the creation of intuitive, efficient, and user-centered digital products. He completed his undergraduate degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from UVCE, Bangalore.

In parallel to his industry career, Junaid has been deeply engaged in design education. He has also taught as guest faculty and served as an external examiner at Srishti-Manipal previously, and has delivered lectures and workshops on several Design topics.

Junaid is a Stanford Life Design Educator and a Designing Your Life (DYL) Coach, trained in methodologies developed at Stanford University’s Life Design Lab enabling individuals design fulfilling and rewarding lives and careers. He has conducted numerous Life Design workshops and has coached students and professionals, enabling them to navigate personal and career transitions through a design-thinking-based approach to planning their lives.

Most recently, Junaid co-founded and led the ed-tech startup My Chat Lesson Pvt Ltd., an innovative platform delivering high-school curriculum through conversational micro-learning stories on mobile devices. Despite early promise and positive user feedback, the venture is now being offered for acquisition following close to a year and a half of full-time work and reflection on its product–market fit challenges.

At Srishti, Junaid brings this diverse blend of industry expertise, teaching practice, coaching, and entrepreneurial insight into his role as Assistant Professor in the Business Services and Systems Design program, where he aims to guide students in using design thinking and human-centered approaches to tackle complex business and societal challenges.
