Being Hyper Human

Being Hyper Human, an international photography exhibition that explores what it means to exist in a world shaped by digital connection, opens today at the Art & Design Gallery of the Fashion Institute of Technology, NYC. It is organised by faculty from FIT, Brian Emery and Brad Paris in New York, and Mahesh Bhat & Jatin Gulati of SMI. The exhibition features work by 12 students, seven alumni, and three faculty members from both institutions, developed over a nine-month collaboration. It will run until September 3, 2025.

As part of the opening reception, on 12 June, 5PM-7PM, EST,  we will have a special guest performance by Vshpag.

This live set will be an ambient study of space, embodiment, and the subtle unease of dislocated presence.

Vshpag is a sound artist based in New Delhi, India. Her work explores the emotional resonance between environments and bodies. Her sonic palette weaves together audio collages, reductionist techniques, noise, and ambient sounds.
