"My journey from Srishti Institute of Art, Design, and Technology to the Harvard Graduate School of Education is a testament to the solid foundation built during my Bachelor of Design in Creative Education (Class of 2023).Initially drawn to the major’s vast scope, I soon discovered the powerful intersection between design and pedagogy.

This culminated in my pre-thesis project with children at the Marathahalli Slum Board, where I synthesized my learnings into real-world action. My mentors at Srishti challenged me to design with deep intention and empathy and taught me how to make complex ideas visible through multimedia.

Beyond academics, Srishti’s culture is its heartbeat. The environment is energetic and collaborative. Working alongside peers from diverse disciplines didn't just teach me teamwork; it fundamentally honed my leadership, communication, and adaptability. Srishti didn’t just teach me to be a designer; it pushed me to be ambitious and innovative. It provided the essential toolkit I rely on every day as I now explore Education Leadership and Entrepreneurship on a global stage."

" IAIDP was rooted in context and problem-solving. Instead of focusing solely on the final output, the course emphasized process, diving deep into the nuances and intricacies of design thinking. This approach has helped me immensely, especially in a world that increasingly values hybrid individuals who can wear multiple hats and explore multiple disciplines.

It encouraged me not to limit myself to a specific role, but to remain open, experimental, and versatile. Even in terms of outcomes, it taught me to keep possibilities open-ended, embracing ambiguity as a space for creativity and exploration."

"When I joined Srishti, service design was still a relatively new and unexplored field, which gave us the freedom to explore tools, methods and ideas, and to define what service design means to us.

There was a sense of curiosity and experimentation that was deeply encouraged by faculty. We were also allowed to take courses across different design majors and collaborate with students from different disciplines, and I believe this transdisciplinary approach helped fill any gaps in our knowledge, and complemented our skills and studies really well. Looking back, I think Srishti allowed me to develop a really solid design foundation from which to build my own unique design practice"

I learned that while I can acquire all the design tools, applying them in real business contexts is the real game. BSSD taught me to think like a designer and an entrepreneur-understanding money, designing high-impact systems, and how to pitch creative ideas to stakeholders.

Every project felt like a mini-start-up. The freedom to choose classes allowed me to create projects with genuine social and business impact.
