Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology (SMI) will consider applications for credit transfer into its undergraduate programs and courses for the academic year 2025-26. Candidates who are interested to be emerging practitioners of art and design and are specifically interested in study at SMI are invited to apply for admission.

Candidates can apply for more than one course and are advised to rank their preference.
Application Schedule
SMI will follow a rolling admission process (i.e., consider applications in the order they are received as long as there is availability in a program and course). The admission process will be completed as per the schedule below:
- Round 1: Applications should be sent by 1 May 2025
- Round 2: Applications should be sent by 1 July 2025
Interested candidates are advised to provide all required documents (as listed below). It will not be possible for SMI to review incomplete applications.
Documents Required from Candidates
The following will be required as part of the application process:
- Application Form (will be emailed to interested candidates)
- Application Fee
- Portfolio of creative work that includes:
- A range of work that reflects exploration of different aspects of art and/or design
- Engagement with conceptual ideas and contextual realities
- Evidence of art/design skills
- Statement of Purpose (500 words) that communicates:
- Awareness and understanding of the field of art and/or design
- Goals and purpose for study at SMI
- Anticipated connections between prior learning/experience and program applied to in SMI
- Marks Cards/Grade Reports and course descriptions of undergraduate classes completed at the previous college
- High school marks cards (10th and 12th standard)
- Date of Birth
- ID proof
NOTE: Shortlisted candidates will be required to appear for an in-person interview at SMI in Bangalore as follows:
Mid-May 2025 for Round 1
Early July 2025 for Round 2.
Selected candidates will need to do the following:
- Complete a University Admission Form
- Pay full fees for the Academic Year and deposits required at time of admission
- Provide all original grade reports/marks cards of High school marks cards (10th and 12th standard) and of undergraduate study
- Provide a No Objection Certificate from the previous College/University
- Provide a Certificate of Good Conduct from the previous College/University
