Short Film ‘Dolamma Anthe!’ made in two weeks of March, 202 by our students, Akshaya Choudam, Manya Deka, Mihika Barua, Mita Shetty, Thejas Arjun Raja, Ronit Bhatt and Akruthi Praveen, recently won the ‘Best Director’ award at the AniFX Film Festival (2026) hosted by D. Y. Patil University, Mumbai on the 24th of October, 2026. This marks the project’s 3rd Film Festival Screening and 1st win!

“Idhu Bengalurinalli siguthha?”

This is a story about Gangamma and Shantamma, good friends and vineyard workers, who find that the humble grape leaf had more uses than they initially thought. We follow their journey as they find out about, try making and finally get to taste the alluring Meditarranean dish ‘Dolma’. With a small crew, this was a short film that was shot, edited and completed in the span of two weeks, in their 3rd Year of their Undergraduate Studies, in the March of 2026.
