Business Design

“There’s no shortage of remarkable ideas, what’s missing is the will to execute them”. – Seth Godin
“It’s not about ideas. It’s about making ideas happen.” - Scott Belsky,

Business Design is an emerging discipline, practiced by people with diverse backgrounds, but who share a depth and passion for business. According to IDEO, whenever a company designs a new product, service, or experience, it is essentially designing its business. By shifting focus from linear practices to iterative design processes, Business design can shed light on new options and explore the various alternatives. Business design leverages methods such as qualitative and quantitative research, business model prototyping, data visualization, organizational design, and Intellectual property management. In business design, instead of a product or service, the whole business is prototyped. Business design allows students to think about their concepts all the way to market, iterating potential solutions from initial concept through final consumer delivery.
