Environmental Graphics

In a built environment that is constantly changing and becoming more layered and complex, its important to design user experiences and ways of orientation to develop a sense of place. The scale can range from indoor way finding and signage design for large institutions/public spaces to communication aides for navigating the urban landscape. Environmental graphics lies at a juncture of Communication, Design and Built Environment.

We look at how environmental graphics can positively impact the sense of place in a multilingual, multicultural and diverse population of a country like India with a strong focus on inclusivity. The discipline not only helps create a visual language but larger experiences that orient users
