Arts Management includes the elements of business, finance, marketing, and IT. It is a multifaceted and dynamic discipline, it can be applied in theatre, film, literature and music, visual arts and other allied fields.
The discipline in Arts Management is developed inorder to provide the students with the contemporary knowledge of artistic practice, research skills and entrepreneurial skills to impact the creative and cultural sector. It enables students to develop their knowledge and understanding of the history, theory and practice of arts management. It focuses on audience development, fundraising, arts education, cultural tourism, regeneration through arts, arts diversity and social inclusion, copyright and the role of the arts in cultural and state policy. The programme has hands on engagement with the cultural sector.
