Work Experience

 

  • Worked in schools in Delhi and Bangalore as an art educator
  • Scripted and directed plays for cultural programs
  • As  part of a handicrafts trust  Mrichakatika in Bangalore, initiated a home based unit called The Crafts Studio that engages with artisans; material explorations, terracotta jewellery
  • Conducted workshops on hands on themes via storytelling for organizations and schools which include Sutradhar, Azim Premji Fdn., Valley School and the Kabir Project, Srishti
  • Written and illustrated picture books for children for Indian Publishing houses like C B T, N B T, Tara, and Tulika
  • Contributed articles for Deccan Herald, Mirror Now on diverse themes  including nature and wild life as a freelance columnist

Creative Practice and Outreach

 

Worked towards an Exhibition related to nature and the city at IIHS, Bangalore

Craftshaale ~ Conducted an exhibition at The Crafts Studio, Kengeri, celebrating hands on journeys

Drew from nature the theme of butterflies and moths and working towards exhibition and sharing. This was inspired by  a short stint at NCBS, Bangalore as a visiting artist.
