Work Experience

  • Over 17 years of practice as an arts practitioner, has exhibited her work in several solo and group exhibitions in the country and abroad
  • Solo exhibitions include “A place called home”, at Gallery at Sua House, Bangalore in 2010, “On the wall” and “Back to square 1 (this is all we have…)”, at Gallery SKE, Bangalore in 2007 and 2005 
  • Exhibitions of work at “The Bienalle Art Dolmiti” in Alta, Italy 2016, “Crossroads India Escalate: Indian Pavilion”, Prague Bienalle 5, Prague, Czech Republic in 2011 and Art Gwangju 2010, Gallery BMB, Booth #43, Gwangju, South Korea
  • Participated in several workshops and artist residencies, in the country and abroad, significant ones being “Contemporary Renaissance” in collaboration with Gallery MK Search Art and Casa Masaccio Museum at San Giovanni Valdarno (Arezzo, Italy), Italy in 2012 andInternational Women’s Artist Residency” at Theertha in Colombo, Srilanka in 2009
  • Nominated for the Rolex Mentor and Protégé Arts initiative 2013 and was a Finalist for the FICA (Foundation for Indian Contemporary Art) Emerging Artist Award 2011
  • Awarded the Robert Bosch Grant for Public Art, for the project ‘A place called home’ in 2009
  • Curated exhibitions of fellow contemporaries for the opening of The Dyu Art Café Gallery, Bangalore in 2013 and of Rumale Chenna Basavaiah’s art work for Neralu a tree festival, called “Rumale: Speaking of Bangalore’s trees though his paintings” at Venkatappa Art Gallery 2011.
  • Taught several courses in other Art and Design Institutes like Lisaa School of Design and NIFT, Bangalore
