Water Stories: Community Poetry and Paint Day

Over the past four months, Art in Transit, in collaboration with Biome, has gathered stories and processes around Bangalore's water to make the practice of recharge wells, visible.

Students and faculty from Srishti Institute of Art, Design, and Technology have worked to design a mud mural, at the Cubbon Park Metro Station to make the water practices of Bangalore visible.

Art in Transit organized a series of master classes with Biome, Kavya Sanje, Deepta Satish, Jackson Porretta and Krishna MB to help the students conceptualize a narrative that ties together the historical, ecological, cultural and social contexts of water in the city.

We invite you to paint stories and exchange poetry about the well-diggers who are changing Bangalore’s water future. Join us this weekend for Water Stories: Community Poetry and Paint Day at Cubbon Park Metro Station.
